Today is my birthday and Kevin surprised me with a birthday cake from a local bakery, complete with a "this-side-of-the-world" firework candle.
And also some amazing double layer, chocolate-covered Oreo cookies!
The cake was very delicious and was made in about 1 1/2 hours, Kevin said.
We also Skyped with my mom and she talked with us as we ate cake. Eliana tried to share bites with Nana, but it didn't work out so well.
This morning Kevin and I took the morning off and went to eat breakfast and do a little shopping together. Eliana had ballet class tonight, and after that is when we ate cake. It was a good birthday, but I hope to celebrate next year's birthday in the States!
