Tonight we had our first annual (hopefully) Harvest Party at our house. We invited our American friends to a "Halloween Party" and let the kids dress up. We had food (wonderful Pinterest food!), and fellowship and GAMES!
Yes, we played "Minute to Win It" games. It took a while to research the games to make sure I could find the items I needed here. And it took a while to buy all the stuff. But it all came together and we had a lot of fun.
The kids dressed up. Eliana at first told us she wanted to be Dora and Explorer, but then this afternoon she said she wanted to be a princess instead. So she and Kevin went out to see if they could find a tiara to wear, while Karis and I stayed here to prepare the party. Alas, they did not find a crown, but a glittery headband, which worked fine. And I had these cute wings I had brought with us from Target, which Karis wore all night long without complaining. So she was our little fairy.
Two of the other kids at the party were cows and we also had Batman!
It was a great time and a little bit of a challenge to decorate because there are NO fall decorations here *sigh*. But it came together well and we hope to do again next year.
