Tonight was Eliana's Kindergarten Graduation. We are so proud of her for going two years to a school where she didn't speak the language and just learned as much as she could.
The program included songs and drama from the students, both in Arabic and English. We loved watching her on stage singing the songs and participating in the dramas.
They learned an ABC song and each child held up their letter card when it was their turn.
When they handed out the diplomas, the teacher said, "Eliana Moots. She is a foreigner. She's very smart in Arabic. And she's blonde too."
This is Eliana with her teacher, Miss Rawda. She was such a good teacher for Eliana. Patient, kind and willing to work with her. We are thankful for both the teachers she had at this school because they helped her so much and welcomed her into their classes, even when she didn't understand much.
And here she is with her friend Nardeen. They were great friends.
