SNOW DAY!

Starting Wednesday this week they forecasted a huge winter storm with lots of snow. So we prepared and stocked up on food, gas and electricity. Class on Wednesday was called off in preparation. Then we waited. And waited. And waited.

NOTHING HAPPENED!

We barely even had flurries.

Until Friday night....

SNOW!!

The above picture was from the evening it was snowing. By the next morning not much more had fallen and it was already starting to melt from the sunshine. But after the girls ate breakfast we bundled them up and went outside to enjoy what was left before it all melted away.

The view is quite lovely.

Kevin showed Eliana how to make a snowball and throw it.

Just above our house on the hill is an open area that is usually too rough to play on. But today with the snow it was a good place to build Eliana's first snowman. Kevin showed her how to start with a snowball and start rolling it to make it bigger and bigger.

Karis started to help, but soon got distracted with playing in the frozen water puddle.

Almost done...

Adding the finishing touches...

Karis decided to add something too.

And we have a completed snowman!
