Their hummos is really good. The oil in the middle is olive oil mixed with lemon juice. I love to dip the pita in the hummos and then in the oil.
These are falafel. It's basically chickpeas ground up with seasonings and then fried. They're really good. Some people eat them in pita with some veggies and tahini sauce to make a sandwich. Some people even eat it for breakfast. You can find them in almost any restaurant and even on bread carts in the streets. It's a very cheap and very popular food.
This is Arabic salad. It's cucumber, tomatoes and onion with lemon juice and salt and a little olive oil. Most people put it in the falafel sandwich.
Karis is enjoying her meal!
Here are some pictures inside the restaurant. It's in an older part of the city, so the aesthetic value is really an attractive part of the place. We're getting to know the workers well and they like to see the girls come in to eat.
Here is how they make the falafel. The yellow stuff to the left is the unmade falafel and they put it in the oil and fry it up. So healthy!!!
As we were leaving the workers wanted pictures of the girls. So they took my picture too. If you come to visit us we will bring you here to meet everyone and enjoy some yummy food!
