Christmas!

We had a really busy Christmas season. Eliana's last day of school was the Monday before Christmas. We elected to cancel Arabic class this week because we needed to prepare for the party for Kevin's last English class in the village, which was on Christmas Eve. So all day Monday and Tuesday was spent preparing for that, with finishing touches on Wednesday before we left. The party for the students included decorating cookies. Thankfully some friends kept the girls for us, although it was hard to leave them on Christmas Eve. But they had fun with friends.

Christmas Day was a good time. The girls didn't get up near as early as we had expected (which was a nice surprise) and wanted breakfast first. And then we opened gifts.

I had forgot to order a ham for lunch ahead of time, so I prepared bacon wrapped chicken instead and it was VERY good! After lunch the girls played with their new toys and we cleaned up. At 3:00 we went to our friends' house to enjoy time together. The kids had all been preparing a Christmas play and performed it that day. Eliana was Mary.

And Karis was an angel.

We spent about 3 hours together and got to hold some new babies. Our friends' just had twins. It was a very Merry Christmas!
